Since joining the firm in 2006, Vera M. Bezdicek has been involved in all aspects of pre-trial civil litigation, including drafting pleadings and motion documents, attending depositions and hearings, and discovery. Ms. Bezdicek assists clients in matters pending before the Public Employment Relations Board, including attending informal conferences. Ms. Bezdicek is also involved in counseling clients on various special legal issues affecting public entities and public school districts, such as placing special tax measures on the ballot, expanding local county service zones and the process of applying to the Local Agency Formation Commission for the exercise of latent powers. In addition, Ms. Bezdicek provided volunteer research attorney services to the El Dorado Irrigation District in regard to multiple water rights issues.
